Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

OnSite is a time-tracking app for iPhone published by Emery Tech Solutions (“ETS3D”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app uses, where it lives, and the choices you have.

2. Information OnSite uses

Location (precise, including background/“Always”). OnSite watches for when you enter and leave the geofences around jobsites you create, so it can prompt you to clock in or out. This detection runs on your device using the operating system’s region monitoring. The jobsite locations and radii you set are stored locally on your device. Your live location is evaluated against those geofences by iOS and is not collected into a location history and not transmitted off your device.

Wi-Fi network name (SSID). Optionally, OnSite reads the name of the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to as an additional signal that you’re at a jobsite. This is used on-device only, stored locally, and never transmitted.

Time entries and jobsites. The records you create — clock-in/out times, jobsite names, notes, and an optional pay rate — are stored in a database on your device.

Account information (Team mode only). If you choose to connect to an employer, we use your email address (or the private relay address from Sign in with Apple) and a display name you choose, to sign you in and associate your submitted hours with your employer’s organization.

3. Team / Employer mode (optional)

Team mode is entirely optional and off by default. When you sign in and join an organization with a code, OnSite syncs your confirmed time entries (start/end times, jobsite names, hours, notes, and approval status) and your display name to the OnSite sync server so your employer can review and approve them for payroll.

What is never synced: your raw location coordinates and Wi-Fi network names do not leave your device — only the time entries you confirmed. The organization’s owners and admins can see the entries you submit to their organization.

4. What OnSite does not do

• No advertising and no ad identifiers.
• No analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking SDKs that profile you.
• No selling or sharing of personal information.
• No location history or movement profile is built, retained, or sold.

5. Sign in with Apple

If you sign in with Apple, you can use Apple’s private email relay. We receive only what Apple provides — a stable identifier and, if you permit it, a relayed email address — which we use solely to authenticate you.

6. Storage and security

Local data is kept in the app’s sandboxed storage on your device. Team-mode data is sent over an encrypted HTTPS/TLS connection and stored on the OnSite sync server with per-organization access controls, so members of one organization cannot see another’s data.

7. Keeping and deleting data

• On-device data is removed when you delete the app, or when you clear it within the app.
• Team-mode data: sign out to stop syncing. To delete your account and any synced entries, contact us at the address below or ask your organization administrator. We honor deletion requests.

8. Permissions you control

OnSite requests Location (While Using or Always), Notifications, and Wi-Fi information, each with an explanation. You can grant or revoke any of them at any time in the iOS Settings app. If a permission is denied, OnSite keeps working and tells you what stopped — it never logs time behind your back.

9. Children

OnSite is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how OnSite handles information, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
