Before your first shift
A few practical answers.
Does OnSite clock me in automatically?
Start with arrival and departure reminders and confirm your hours. You can also clock in and out manually. If your app version offers automatic clock modes, they are optional settings you choose for a place; detection is not a guarantee that a shift has been recorded.
What if I do not allow location access?
You can still record and review time manually. Background arrival and departure reminders need location and notification permissions, and delivery depends on your phone’s settings.
What is free, and what needs Pro?
Solo time tracking, jobsite reminders, entries and totals are free. Earnings, overtime, unpaid breaks, statistics, scheduling, PDF invoices and timesheets, and CSV exports are Pro features. See the in-app offer for current pricing and trial eligibility.
Can I use it without an account or internet?
Yes, for solo time records. Team sync, subscriptions, and some setup services need an internet connection. Optional team use also requires an account.
Can my employer see where I am?
OnSite does not offer a live employee-location map. In Team mode, your employer can review submitted time records. Organization jobsite settings are shared so the crew can use the same sites.
Does it work for other kinds of on-site work?
Yes. Cleaners, field technicians, consultants, and other workers who move between locations can use the same jobsite-and-hours workflow.
Are Fleet maps and tablet kiosks included?
No. They are not included in the plans described here. Choose OnSite for the time-record and timesheet workflow available today.
